What are your feelings about pre-season rankings?

KNIGHT:  I think the most detrimental thing to the development of a team is the pre-season ranking, particularly those higher rankings

How has Pat Graham handled his injury?

KNIGHT:  Well, I think he has handled it very well.  There isn't anything that he is going to be able to do, other than to just work to rehabilitate the foot when that time comes.  He's been dealt a certain hand and he has to play it.  He can't look over at the dealer, give him his cards back and say, "I want another hand."

Who was the tallest player you ever coached?

KNIGHT:  I had a kid that played for me when I was at West Point that was 9'2", and we weren't able to use him because they commissioned him as an officer without ever having gone through the Academy.  They disguised him as a palm tree and they used him as a forward artillery observer at the desert warfare training site on the Mohave Desert.

Saturday night you seemed at times to have problems calling a time-out.

KNIGHT:  I really don't have any problem in calling a time-out.  I actually know how to do it.  You just kind of stand and make a "T" sign with your hand.

Has it been difficult to adjust to having the three-point shot?

KNIGHT:  Don, my memory fades in and out, but it seems to me that the first year of the three-point shot, we won the NCAA Championship

What is the toughest arena to play in the Big Ten?

KNIGHT:  Well, I hope it's Assembly Hall

KNIGHT:  And as I've said all along--the whole key to this team is not shooting or passing or skills.  This team has got plenty of skill and plenty of talent to play.  Mental toughness is the absolute key to this team.
